FAQs

Is the R16 Ultra’s 16 N·m output sustained or peak torque?

The R16 Ultra delivers 16 N·m of sustained direct drive torque, maintaining consistent force feedback through demanding corners and extended racing sessions. Its additional motor headroom reproduces strong steering forces while preserving finer changes in grip, road texture, weight transfer, and vehicle balance.

How does the R16 Ultra differ from the previous R16 V2?

Although both models deliver 16 N·m of torque and use a 21-bit magnetic encoder, the R16 Ultra focuses on smoother response, faster processing, and finer tuning control. It introduces a high-density flat-wire motor with ultra-low cogging, a 600 MHz processor, NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1, dual RGB light strips, a more compact design, and expanded mounting options. The upgrade is about refinement and control rather than simply increasing torque output.

Is 16 N·m too powerful, and can I adjust the force feedback?

You do not have to use the full 16 N·m output. MOZA Pit House allows you to adjust force feedback strength, response, friction, damping, and other parameters to match your experience level, vehicle, and driving style. Hands-Off Protection also detects when the wheel is released, rapidly suppresses unwanted oscillation, and safely centers the wheel.

What platforms and games does the R16 Ultra support?

The R16 Ultra supports Windows PC and can be used on Xbox when paired with the officially licensed MOZA ESX Steering Wheel. The wheelbase alone does not provide Xbox compatibility, and PlayStation is not officially supported. Compatible PC titles include iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, the F1 series, Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, DiRT Rally 2.0, EA SPORTS WRC, rFactor 2, and Automobilista 2. Some games may require initial configuration through MOZA Pit House.

How can I mount the R16 Ultra to my racing rig?

The R16 Ultra measures 206 × 140 × 135 mm and supports bottom, front, and side mounting. Before purchasing, compare the official mounting-hole diagram with your cockpit or wheel stand and confirm that the mounting solution can securely support a 16 N·m direct drive wheelbase.
